Questions about LPG installation - BRC Flying Injection

    Hi,

My LPG BRC Flying injection installation on a Fiat Marea does not work.
I would like some help, and I found on this forum some specialists, especially "Rank" of Belgrade.

I can exchange in French of course, in german (my daughter), in Romanian (my friend), and in Polish (my upstairs neighbor).

Alas, I do not know anyone from Serbia

    Thanks in advance

      Hi Dora,

This is my problem with the BRC Flying injection :

The car is a Fiat Marea 1,6i 2001.
The BRC Flying ECU is :
      MOTOROLA-02
      Install date : 24 november 1999
      Update date : 30 sept 2003
      Installation : standard
      Installed Software version : 02.005AS
      Installed charger version : 00.0001CC
      Installed chart version : 99

The injection seems to pass on LPG correctly at idle (State “NORMAL” on MODIFLY Software screen).

But when I accelerate, it goes back to petrol with the indication of state "CUT OFF" (“COUPURE” in french) on the Modifly software screen. When driving the car, I feel like a jerk.

I checked the reducer. It is clean and OK.
Except that the pressure is alway 2500 mb (pressure P1) when running on LPG ; and the adjusting screw on the top of the reducer does not change anything.
May be here is the cause of my problem (the value must be between 1300 and 2300 mb) ? May be the ECU sees this value as out of limit ?
I noticed that someone had certainly disassembled and cleaned it before me.

P1 and P2 pressure are OK (output voltages and wiring from sensors to the ECU are OK).
Curiously, P2 pressure does not appear on screen of BRC_Inst software screen. One another hint ?

I changed the ECU to an other one : same symptoms. No change !

I disassembled, cleaned and checked the SMART distributor : All valves work perfectly, and the wiring to the ECU is OK.

If you have an idea, because I do not know what to do and what to test now.

      Thanks in advance

        Hi Dora,

This Sunday, I repaired the reducer. I set it to around 1800 mb.

But that changes nothing. BRC passes to petrol as soon as I accelerate (state "cut off") :

It remains the P2 pressure issue, that does not appear on the BRC_Inst software screen.
However, the P2 sensor is ok (output voltage) and the wiring also.

Thanks in advance for any help...

P1-M.A.P.=Delta P , Delta P=1000-1200mb set reducer to Delta P.If Delta P driving falls below 700MB, you have a problem with the fuel line from the tank.Ignore P2.

            Hi Teca,

Please, have a look of this screen, when the BRC cuts off :

            P1 = 1797mb, Map = 335mb and Delta P= 1457mb. I've never seen Delta P below 700mb.

You say that P2 is not used, that's right ?

I've checked the gas line. The filter removed, I've put the BRC on "on" a short time, in a very open air place.... GPL flows out ..

            Thx,

            Jean-Pierre

                Dear TECA...

                EUREKA..!!!

I've just solved it... but I'm not proud to be so stupid !!

The petrol injection derivation connector was disconnected by the previous car owner, because it did not work.
(I had to replace the temperature sensor and fixed a short cut on the tps wire).

Now, I have a second ECU available (I bought it when I suspected the ECU) . I'll sell it on internet.

Your forum is great, because there is nobody skilled on LPG in france, except some rare professionnals. LPG is probably around 1% of running cars, generally in original mounting as Dacia.

                Thanks for all..

                  Dear Dora and Teca,

                  My car is a Fiat Marea 1,6i 75Kw (103cv), motor 185BXB1A
I guess that I have to ajust the setting ...
Does standard setting exist for this car (%Delta Flow for each Duty cycles range; cut-off exit entichment; transient enrichment,... )?

Where can I find the file with updated models for the BRC_Inst software ? may be here is this standard setting for the car..
                  NB : I have BRC_Inst v3.0 and Modifly v2.0 with the manuals.

                  Thx in advance
