It is not only a question of the tyres and rims used and possibly the ground clearance. One point that is most of time not looked into is the drive train. The lower the chassis gets because of the lowering springs, the more the drive shafts are getting away from a 90 degree angle in relation to the wheels. This in turn means that more energy is needed to overcome the resulting resistance and this does destroy usable power for the wheels. The energy getting lost in the CV joints will increase wear and will depending on how much lowered the car is happen sooner or later"
