The Technical Committee of Petroleum Additive Manufacturers in Europe (ATC) was established in 1974 for member companies to discuss topics of a technical and statutory nature which were a concern to our industry.
In 1979 ATC became an affiliated group of CEFIC, the European Chemical Industry Council. Membership of ATC is open to any additive company which operates chemical processes for the manufacture of petroleum additives, or has comprehensive test facilities, in Europe.

Figure 13 is a diagram of a typical port fuel injector nozzle, and the pintle tip is the operating area of most
importance. The clearances to achieve the small quantities of fuel necessary for controlled additions are
very small (0.05 mm), and any restrictions will result in serious operating difficulties due to disruption of the
proper fuel/air ratio in the cylinder. Injector design is a critical factor in terms of susceptibility to the build up
of deposits.
